      Which Ommatidia system fits single-point laser vibrometry?

      QMini is the focused route for one-point laser Doppler vibrometry in laboratory, validation, diagnostics and modular field setups. SpeedSync heads support stand-off distances from under 1 metre to 300 metres, depending on the selected head and measurement conditions. Choose it when the required output is a velocity trace, spectrum or synchronised single-point channel rather than a spatial vibration field.

      When should I choose Q1S instead of Q1?

      Choose Q1S for fixed or repeatable structural monitoring where deflection curves, long-term displacement and infrastructure condition are central. Choose Q1 when a portable 128-beam system must travel between large or difficult-to-access assets and combine stand-off vibrometry with metrology. The final choice should follow the deployment model, range, target return, sampling and required uncertainty.

      When is Q2 the best-fit Laser RADAR platform?

      Q2 is designed for dense dynamic analysis and integrated 3D metrology. It provides 65 simultaneous optical channels and supports up to 1,300 points per line through spatial oversampling, with workflows for modal maps, multi-view 3D velocity reconstruction and strain-oriented analysis. Confirm optical access, motion bandwidth, geometry, reference channels and validation requirements before specifying a configuration.

      What information is needed to select a laser measurement system?

      Define the engineering output first: point velocity, deflection, displacement, mode shape, geometry, 3D velocity or strain-ready data. Then document stand-off distance, field of view, surface condition, incidence angle, motion bandwidth, maximum velocity, environment, acquisition time, reference sensors and uncertainty target. These inputs let an applications engineer distinguish QMini, Q1S, Q1 and Q2 without relying on a generic product ranking.
