Integrated photonics for parallel 3D measurement

Fast, full-field data for NVH, civil monitoring, and industrial metrology.

Ommatidia helps engineering teams capture precise remote measurement data with less setup, less target access, and more coverage than conventional point-by-point workflows.

Photonic integrated circuits enable parallel capture

Ommatidia combines photonic integrated circuits, wide-area illumination, and parallel measurement to improve throughput and measurement quality.

The photonic integrated circuits help the system capture many points at the same time instead of stepping through one point after another.

Depending on the configuration, that means 65 or 128 points measured simultaneously. This supports sharper data, better coverage, and more practical full-field measurement.

Remote vibrometry without contact sensors

Capture dense vibration data remotely, without contact sensors that slow setup or alter the test object.

Ommatidia combines Laser Doppler Vibrometry with parallel measurement, so teams can observe many points at once and move faster from setup to decision.

Use it for NVH and modal testing, civil structures, and industrial diagnostics where target access, wiring, or added sensor mass gets in the way.

01

More useful signal across the scene

Wide-area illumination lets more photons contribute to the measurement instead of being filtered away. That improves range, density, and full-scene usefulness.

02

65 or 128 points measured simultaneously

Photonic integrated circuits make parallel measurement practical by capturing many points at once instead of stepping through one point at a time.

03

Safer high-power illumination

Spreading optical power over a larger area makes higher-power illumination more practical without sacrificing measurement performance.

04

Bio-inspired multi-view capture

The sensing architecture samples the scene from multiple perspectives at once, improving spatial detail without slow sequential scanning.
